Run Stratum Proxy above, then run cpuminer with minerd.exe -o http://127.0.0.1:8332 -u workername -p password
After downloading the proxy software simply run it with the following command: stratum_proxy.exe -o SERVERNAME.wemineltc.com -p 3333 - CPU Miners ONLY - UPDATE: If you download the proxy exe from above you do NOT need to pass any options, they are auto-filled with our pools config.
Note: The new version of the stratum_proxy.exe has been updated to auto connect to our pool, so you just need to run the exe file and don't need the options. You must have the new version though!
This will launch the proxy on your computer and connects to our Stratum server. Now you simply connect to the proxy with your mining client by setting the host in your client to 127.0.0.1:8332 (IP: 127.0.0.1 - Port: 8332) and be sure to add your username and passwors settings just as normal to the miner config/command line arguments.
Important!Every CPU/GPU needs the correct settings in order to get the maximum KH/s from it.
Litecoin uses scrypt (unlike BTC which uses sha256) which is more difficult to get maxmium results. Please refer to the excellent
guide here on the Litecoin wiki to find the
best configuration for your card.
A couple users requested we setup a Java based CPU Miner so they could mine on PC's at work, etc where they can't install software but can run JAVA apps. The Java miner is slower than using minerd (the standard CPU miner) but if it's all you can use, it works. It launches via JNLP, you need to click the link, on firefox and IE it will prompt you to open/run it, but on Chrome it downloads the JNLP file. In Chrome you just need to download it and then click on it to run (you can also right click on the download at the bottom and select Always open/run this file type). Once it runs you will be prompted to allow running the Java app. The Java app was built by us for the pool and is safe. Since it runs in the Java sandbox you will be prompted to allow network connections to the USA server and it's IP, which you should allow. You then can enter your worker username and password and select the number of threads to use (using more threads than available for your CPU will actually make it run slower), and click Start Mining. This is software is beta.
